The training video you will are subscribing to are advisory in nature, informational in content, and is intended to assist employers, contractors and subcontractors in providing a safe and healthful workplace.  Pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, employers must comply with safety and health standards promulgated by OSHA.  In addition, pursuant to Section 5(a)(1), the General Duty Clause of the Act, employers must provide their employees with a workplace free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm.  Employers can be cited for violating the General Duty Clause if there is a recognized hazard and they do not take reasonable steps to prevent or to abate the hazard.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Training

Course Description and Objectives

The course educates workers in the  hazards of working during the COVID-19 pandemic and how to stay safe and healthy. The training follows the direction given by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other government agencies. 

Training Content

  • Introduction to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Recognizing signs and symptoms of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • Understanding how the virus is spread. 
  • How to protect yourself while at work, including using hand washing, social distancing, and face coverings.
  • Procedures for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.

Comprehension/Evaluation

  • A final exam with a score of at least 70% required to pass the class
