Course Description and Objectives

The course educates workers why we need to take care of our backs and how to protect them while working, including when we lift.

Course Content

  • Introduction to back and lifting safety
  • Understanding how our backs works. The animated video included teaches how our back works in a clear and concise way.
  • Learn how to lift safely. Understand the power zone and seven key lifting techniques. 
  • Learn the importance of stretching. See common stretches and don't forget to consult your physician before doing them. 
  • Review what you learned in the course and take a final test. 


  • A final exam with a score of at least 70% required to pass the class
  • Training time with exam- 20 minutes
